IF ONLY THEY COULD TALK

When newly-qualified vet James Herriot arrives in the small
Yorkshire village of Darrowby, he has no idea what to expect.
How will he get on with his new boss? The local farmers? And
what will the animals think? If only they could talkl In this, the
first of James Herriofs wonderfully funny memoirs, we meet
for the first time the unpredictable Siegfried Farnon, his
charming student brother Tristan, many memorable cows,
bulls, pigs, horses - and the one and only crackerdog: Tricki
Woo.
